GERMAN STATES. WESTPHALIA. Republic. Notgeld-Inflation 1 Billion Mark, 1923. Head l. of Napoleonic era Prussian Minister vom und zum Stein, Germany’s Leader in more Difficult Times. Rv. White Horse of Westphalia over value 1 Billion Mk. Jaeger N.28. Handling and hairlines are visible, along with some edge roughness. The German name for this silvery alloy is Neusilber, composed of Copper, Nickel and Zinc. 11,113 were struck by Heinrich Kissing of Menden, of which 500 were gilt. Extremely Fine. (500-600)

It is seldom noted that the German BILLION is equal to a U.S. TRILLION. The German equivalent of the U.S. billion is the MILLIARD.
