Trajan, A.D. 98-117. Æ Sestertius. Rome, A.D. 101-102. Laureate bust of Trajan right, wearing aegis on shoulder. Rv. Mars advancing right, holding spear and trophy over shoulder. 25.51 grams. RIC 426. BMC 743. Cf. Cohen 634 (aegis?). Dark brown patina with tan highlights, an attractive reddish hue on the reverse. Extremely Fine. (1,000-1,500)
